Program Description:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are emerging as meaningful forces for change in the activities and workflows of the Finance and Accounting functions. There is no question that future finance jobs will be different...but how? In this program, participants will learn about the current state of the art of AI and ML, including current and evolving applications to the Finance and Accounting functions, and how financial professionals can leverage these new capabilities and partner with the machines to survive ... and improve.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will leave with a sense of:

  • The difference between AI and ML
  • Current applications of AI and ML to consider in their businesses
  • Likely success cases for AI and ML over the next three to five years
  • Important skills to build to leverage these new technologies

Paul joins Pegasystems from Merrill Corporation. He has more than twenty years of technology experience with extensive back office platforms enabling corporate issuers and their advisors manage vital regulatory issues, compliance matters and shareholder communications. Paul has helped clients achieve increased engagement with investors while driving out redundant processes resulting in major cost savings.

His authoritative understanding of Cloud based Applications, Security, Client Success Services, and Data Analytics secured significant volume of major account assignments and high growth account assignments. His industry coverage included: financial services, health care, life sciences verticals, logistics, manufacturing, professional services, retail, transportation, and supply chain while based in Atlanta, Frankfurt, London, Australia and New York while at Merrill Corporation

Paul has a Masters degree from Clemson University and a B.S. from Central Connecticut State University. He has been an active member in Association for Corporate Growth at national and local level by serving as Board of Director, VP of Programming and Young ACG Committee. Other industry associations include; Society for Corporate Governance Professionals, Turnaround Management Association, Technology Association of Georgia and establishing several Corporate Development Roundtables groups.

Paul is an avid Clemson Tiger fan, enjoys his morning OTF, (Orangetheory Fitness), workouts and resides in Roswell, Georgia with his two children.

Expert in both large-scale transformational and technology start-up environments, able to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to embrace change. Proven results in emerging data & analytical platforms (AWS), product management & engineering, complex architectures, and agile methodologies (SAFe, Shape Up, etc.). Degree in Electrical Engineering, Six Sigma Black and Green Belt Certified.  Prior to his position at flexdrive, Scott served as the VP Next Generation Data Platforms for Anthem, and he was also the VP, Enterprise Data Services for Cox Automotive.
