Program Description:


Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) is emerging as a meaningful force of change in Business with significant impacts to the way work is done for the Finance and Accounting Functions. This ninety-minute interactive discussion will provide an overview of AI and Machine Learning; Highlight the expertise needed within the Finance function; Identify ways CFO’s can develop the business case for AI within the Finance function; and provide practical applications to develop prototypes of an AI initiative before full implementation.

About Our Speakers


Kathleen Fitzpatrick, Chief Financial Officer, MPI - Business Valuation & Advisory

Kathy has over 30 years of executive leadership in finance, accounting and human resources.  Kathy is currently CFO for MPI, a business valuation and advisory firm where she handles all aspects of the accounting, finance, human resources, technology and administrative functions of the firm.  Prior to this role, Kathy was CFO for a private global medical device company based in Harrisburg, PA. 


For over 25 years,  Kathy’s career was spent at Johnson & Johnson in a variety of finance and human resource leadership roles spanning pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer products.


Kathy has her Masters in Business Administration from Pace University and her Bachelor’s in Accounting from Rider University.  She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey.


For the past four years, Kathy has been a Board Member of the non-profit Isles, Inc. serving as their Corporate Treasurer.


Paras Parekh, Head of AI/ ML for Investment Banking, Credit Suisse


Paras Parekh has over twenty-three years of technology experience delivering strategic projects across various industries like Finance, Media, Healthcare and Logistics.  


Over the past 15 years, Paras has developed a deep passion for data analytics and more recently advanced analytics using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Cloud. Paras currently heads the Artificial Intelligence Competency Center at Credit Suisse Global Markets.


Paras enjoys hiking, skiing, and robotics. He mentored his daughter's robotics team to win 4 consecutive years of NJ VEX robotics state championships.


Dave Sackett, Chief Financial Officer, ULVAC Technologies


Dave Sackett has acted as a private company CFO and CIO in his role at ULVAC Technologies since 2006. He manages the Finance, Accounting and IT functions as a lean operation. His main leadership goal is to improve profitability by carefully selecting investments in technology. He delegate tasks and coaches his staff to become a high performance, problem solving team. He takes a serious approach toward continuous professional development and is an active CFO Leadership Council member from the Boston Chapter.
