Program Description

In today’s geographically-dispersed business world, virtual workforces have become more common. But how do you build a cooperative and productive team if you can’t meet face-to-face? This live online webinar will give you the communication skills to develop and motivate a successful virtual team.

Learning objectives
• Define the skill sets important to virtual team members and leaders
• Identify the five success factors for building and leading virtual teams
• Explore prevailing myths about leading virtual teams and ways to overcome them

 

Speaker

David Wright, CEO Dale Carnegie Training of Houston, Austin, and San Antonio

Dave’s formal studies are in Business Management, Coaching, and Adult Education. He received his MA in Adult Education and Workplace Learning from Texas State University. Dave is a dynamic speaker, leader, and entrepreneur.

At the age of 22, Dave was the youngest Dale Carnegie® Instructor ever certified. Over the past 25 years, Dave has been the Dale Carnegie® Sales Manager for Vancouver, Canada; Regional Manager for Oregon/SW Washington; and he is currently the President of Dale Carnegie Training of Austin/Houston, Texas.

Since arriving in Texas, Dave Wright has led the organization to unprecedented growth, and he achieved the “Founders Club” award from Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc. for the fastest growing office in North America. He also received the “Gold Cup” award for 102% growth in 2010, the “Silver Cup” for 52% growth in 2011 and the “Silver Cup” in 2013 for 38% growth and again in 2014, resulting in a tenfold increase since 2008.

During his time with Dale Carnegie®, Dave has received ongoing international recognition as a premier trainer, and in 2007 he won the prestigious “Global Trainer of the Year” award (out of 3500 Dale Carnegie trainers worldwide).

Dave has conducted over 3500 sessions throughout North America, and has been a featured speaker at the Dale Carnegie® International Convention five times.

Dale Carnegie of Austin clients include a variety of industries and organizations, with programs delivered to both the employees and management of numerous companies, including: Dell, Texas A&M, National Instruments, Round Rock ISD, VMWare, & LegalZoom.

As of January 2017, Dave also sits as a board member for Independent Petroleum Association of America as they continue to expand their commitment of education outreach.

Registration

All current CFO Leadership Council members may attend this program for free. Non-member senior financial executives who are CFOs, Vice Presidents of Finance, Directors of Finance and Controllers (or the like) are welcome to attend this program for $80.

Please note that service providers or any executives who are not senior financial executives cannot attend this event. The CFO Leadership Council reserves the right to decline any registration.
