About Our Speakers
Kathi Boczar, AVP Process Transformation, Global Finance Organization, Chubb
Kathi Boczar is an Assistant Vice President, Finance within Chubb’s Global Finance Operations Team. Kathi and her team drive Finance transformation activities for various finance and accounting processes and functions. Prior to her role at Chubb, Kathi held roles driving business process efficiency and organizational transformation initiatives ranging from large-scale technology projects (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to smaller projects (ReadSoft AP, Oracle Project Accounting, etc.). The roles Kathi held include BPO Advisor, Finance and AP (Canon Business Process Services); Director, Finance Business Process Improvement (Arkema Inc.,) and various roles as an independent consultant (Cigna, Towers Watson). She also served as the Manager of Organizational Change Management for Nestle USA’s SAP implementation and held multiple senior level accounting and finance positions within ARAMARK Inc. Kathi is an alumna of St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia PA (B.S. Accounting) and achieved her MBA in Corporate Finance from Drexel University. She is also a Certified Accounts Payable Solutions Consultant and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Lauren Mulqueen, Global Transformation Change Management Leader, Axalta
Lauren is the Change Management Leader for global transformation initiatives at Axalta Coating Systems in Philadelphia, PA. With a background in financial risk and compliance, business process simplification and continuous improvement, she has successfully supported various initiatives aligned to Axalta’s global strategy. Prior to her role at Axalta, she led SOX implementations at several pre-IPO and newly public companies, educating management and coordinating the audit teams for first-year compliance and ongoing process improvement. Lauren is a graduate of Fordham University (B.S. Business Administration, Public Accounting) and is currently pursuing her MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds certifications in accounting (CPA), auditing (CIA, CISA), and business process management (Villanova).
Tamara Pawlichka, Senior HR Consultant, Gallagher
Tamara is a Senior HR Consultant in the Human Resources and Compensation Consulting (HRCC) practice in Gallagher’s Global Benefit Services, supporting the NE Atlantic region based in Radnor. She has over 25 years of HR, sales and consulting experience in the financial services, transportation and pharma industries. She has led strategic and tactical delivery of HR services for complex, cross-functional projects as part of M&A, integration, restructuring and change management initiatives.
Kirk Simme former CFO Airbase CarpetMart
Kirk Simme was most recently the CFO of Airbase CarpetMart, a privately-owned residential and commercial carpet, tile and flooring sales and installation retailer. It has large-scale stores located in Delaware, Pennsylvania & South Carolina. In this role, Kirk’s responsibilities included accounting, finance, treasury, banking, FP&A, Credit, Human Resources, Benefits, M&A, taxes, IT, real estate, facilities & inventory management.
Kirk is a senior financial executive with over 30 years of experience. He has had many responsibilities in his tenure from overseeing all credit operations and credit transaction processing relationships with respect to the proprietary credit card programs as well as all bankcard, debit card, Amex, Discover, Pay-Pal relationships, collections of checks and Payment systems compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
Has had responsibility for all treasury, cash management, investments, merger and acquisition activities, rating agency regulatory reporting and banking relationships as well as overseeing the corporate finance areas. Was the President, Spirit of America National Bank, the nation’s 4th largest in-house proprietary credit issuer with over 10 million accounts issued prior to its sale to Alliance Data, overseeing day-to-day operations for worldwide account servicing, credit line and account management, new credit product design and acquisition strategy, card marketing, risk management, customer database management, enhancement marketing, ecommerce credit, credit loyalty club management, credit IT development and systems support and authorization networks. He also developed and oversaw the credit funding securitization and mezzanine financing activities, regulatory capital management, backroom bank administration and integration of regulatory reporting Call Report process, regulatory reporting and auditing oversight with the FDIC, OCC, and state legal compliance associations. Also oversaw the execution and compliance of the community reinvestment act activities, quality assurance programs, e-commerce / e-service credit transaction settlement activities, collections, and asset recovery management. Previous work experience was at Charming Shoppes Inc. (1982 to 2009), PriceWaterhouseCoopers (audit specialty: Banks and Retail) and U.S. Army (Corp of Engineers).
