Having an informed line of sight on today’s state of the economy and understanding its implications enables CFO’s to make informed decisions and proactively position their organization to take advantage of any upcoming opportunities while avoiding unnecessary risks.

Join the Kansas City chapter of the CFO Leadership Council on January 15, 2025 for Balance of power: a post-election outlook through the lens of an economist and gain insight on today’s state of the economy post-election and explore its national and local implications as we plan for 2025.

John Shin, Senior G10 FX Strategist, BofA Securities

John Shin joined BofA Securities as a senior G10 FX strategist, based in New York. He is responsible for the flagship monthly publication, “World at a Glance.” Previously, Shin was both a G10 FX strategist and a U.S. economist at Lehman Brothers. He was also a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and worked in the Macroeconomic and Quantitative Studies section of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C.

Shin holds a doctorate in economics from Harvard University, where he was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated with high honors.
