ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
Adnan Qamar, Managing Director, Strategy, KPMG - With more than 15 years of experience across a range of industries, Adnan has led case teams in growth strategy, market and competitive strategy, M&A strategy, commercial and operational diligence, operating model design and integration strategy development, and post-deal value enhancement projects. Adnan has experience working with both corporate clients and private equity investors. He has performed strategic and diligence assessments for cross-border transactions across a range of international markets. In 2016, Adnan was a recipient of the “Top 40 Under 40” Emerging Leader award given by The M&A Advisor, an industry publication.
Prior to joining KPMG, Adnan’s experiences include working at another global business consulting firm, a boutique biotech consulting firm, and The Dow Chemical Company. Adnan earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkley, and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Eric Bauer, CFO/COO/Board Member, International Vitamin Corporation - Eric Bauer is a seasoned operations, finance and strategy executive with over 25 years of experience with a variety of consumer facing organizations. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of International Vitamin Corporation – the largest global private label nutraceutical manufacturer – supporting such clients as Costco, Walmart, Walgreens, GNC and Kroger – with operations in the US, Europe and Asia.
Prior to that, he held senior roles in operations and finance as the Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer of several large apparel retailers including Gap, The Children’s Place, and True Religion Jeans where he had responsibility for all operating, financial, and business development aspects globally.
He has held senior management positions for PepsiCo’s Taco Bell division, Choice Hotel International and Tickets.com. He began his career in consulting and banking.
Bauer has an MBA from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has served on the boards of several non-profits and corporate organizations. He, his wife and three daughters reside in Manhattan Beach, California.
Ravi Bhagavatula, CFA, Innovatus Capital Partners - Mr. Bhagavatula has over 25 years of experience in deal sourcing, deal execution, asset management, operations consulting and C-level management. Prior to joining Innovatus Capital Partners, LLC in February 2019, Mr. Bhagavatula was a Founder and Managing Partner at Excelsior Capital Partners for eight years, that invested in distressed debt, special situations, and specialty lending across commercial real estate and operating companies. Prior to that, he served as a Managing Director in the Special Assets Group at Republic Financial Corporation, and from there, advanced to becoming a Principal at Marlin Equity Partners, a $4 billion private equity firm focused on corporate divestiture, turnaround, growth equity and buy-and-build investment opportunities in the U.S. and abroad.
Prior to that, Mr. Bhagavatula was a Vice President at Resilience Capital Partners, a middle market special situations firm. He began his career in the Financial Services Group at KPMG / Bearing Point and held CEO & COO positions at a middle market companies.
Mr. Bhagavatula earned his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management and an MS in Industrial Engineering from Cleveland State University. He also earned a BE in Chemical Engineering from BITS in Pilani, India.
Mr. Bhagavatula holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Management Accountant designations.
Scott Savoie, Chief Integration Officer, Allied Universal - Scott Savoie is the Chief Integration Officer for Allied Universal, primarily overseeing all aspects of post-merger integration of large acquisitions. Mr. Savoie has more than 25 years of progressive and successful experience in high-growth, multi-industry companies ranging in size from early stage to Fortune 500 entities.
He has comprehensive experience across all financial and business functions including M&A, finance, accounting, treasury, capital raising (private equity market, bank and other debt), strategic planning, and human resources. His communication and leadership abilities have been refined through boardroom presentations, investor meetings, and directing company efforts on external banking and service relationships.
Previous to his current role, Mr. Savoie was Chief Financial Officer for Universal Services of America from 2005 to 2014 and Chief Administrative Officer from 2014 through 2018. As CFO, he provided financial leadership to the Company, helping to double the company’s size in both revenue and profitability. Before joining Universal, he held several leadership roles with such companies as Omnicom Group, IAC/InterActive Corp, The Walt Disney Company and Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Savoie received his MBA from the University of Southern California and B.S. in Accounting from California State University, Northridge. He also is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and is the recipient of the California Society of CPA’s and Orange County Business Journal CFO of the Year Award for 2012.
