Program Description

 

Companies in this current economic state of all-time high asset valuations for businesses, and their underlying owned-real estate, have a unique opportunity to monetize these assets for core business funding and/or dividend recapitalizations. Ample liquidity and capital providers coupled with the current yield curve dynamics create opportunities for CFOs to obtain cost-effective and flexible funding structures to execute their company’s growth and strategy objectives. CFOs should understand the available debt financing alternatives and the associated advantages and pitfalls of each instrument.

Bruce Weidner, SVP Business Development, Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Bruce Weidner is a senior vice president and senior business development officer for Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and South Dakota at Bank of America Business Capital, part of the Wholesale Credit division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this role, he is responsible for originating and structuring asset-based solutions for companies.

Prior to joining Bank of America in 2015, he was a vice president of business development at PNC Business Credit for the Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Kansas City markets. Bruce also brings more than 30 years of professional experience in marketing, sales, relationship and business management and corporate banking. Weidner holds FINRA 7 and 63 licenses, and is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Secured Finance Network (SFNet) and the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).

  

George Mack, Sr Advisor, Cresa
George joined Cresa in 2016 with experience raising debt and equity for corporate users of real estate. George has advised corporate owners and private equity clients in balance sheet restructuring and the acquisition of portfolio companies. Prior to real estate, George was instrumental in the development of a Chicago-based .Com operating in the tech and service industry. As a founder, George served an integral role in raising funds, brand creation and business development.

 

Steven Strom, Principal, Cresa

With 13 years of experience in commercial real estate, Mr. Strom offers his clients the benefit of his extraordinary market knowledge and valuable negotiating expertise. Although the Minneapolis/St. Paul region is Mr. Strom’s area of expertise, his team advises local, national, and global corporations on their real estate strategy utilizing Cresa’s offices around the globe.


Mr. Strom’s recent projects include strategic portfolio planning, corporate headquarters transactions, lease re-negotiations, financial analysis, dispositions, and portfolio repositioning. Clients appreciate his diverse mix of project experience, affinity for numbers and strategic business perspective. His leadership responsibilities include steering the strategic growth of the firm, overall marketing and recruiting initiatives on a local level.

Non-member senior financial executives who are CFOs, Vice Presidents of Finance, Directors of Finance and Controllers (or the like) are welcome to attend this program for 
$50. 

Please note that service providers or any executives who are not senior financial executives (CFOs, Vice Presidents of Finance, Controllers, Directors of Finance, etc.) will not be admitted attendance to this event. The CFO Leadership Council reserves the right to decline any registration.
