PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

With everything that is happening right now, CFOs have so many parts of their business to evaluate including commercial real estate. With the economy imploding, CFOs need to understand what the spill over into commercial real estate will be and how quickly will it happen. What should you be doing now to best protect yourself and plan for what lies ahead!

 

Join us as David Marino, Executive Vice President and co-founder of Hughes Marino, takes us through his experience having weathered three recessions over three decades in commercial real estate. He will share best practices on how as CFOs, you should be looking at your commercial real estate and what you can do to position yourself during these uncertain times.

  • What are landlords and tenants doing right now?
  • What changes in the market this year can we expect from both landlords and tenants?
  • What CFOs should now be looking for in leases. 
  • Subleases will flood the market, and what are the related risks and pitfalls?

  • How tenants now need to evaluate the credit of landlords and restructure the relationship related to tenant improvement funding.
  • How transaction cycles are likely to become compressed.
  • Lessons from past recessions – – how the banks and government might respond longer term.

Todd’s has held various executive positions which allows him be strategic in his business decisions, including leading treasury, investor relations, business development, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, mergers and acquisitions, six sigma, shared service, information technology, compliance, accounting, internal audit, SEC reporting, tax, and operations over manufacturing facilities and more.

Todd is an expert in 80/20 and restructuring, and is known for being able to grow businesses in short period of time.  Todd holds a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
