Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico as well as a MBA with a concentration in Finance. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jon began his hotel finance career at The Peninsula New York and held various operational roles. Leaning towards the independent, private, and entrepreneurial side of hospitality, Jon played an instrumental role in launching and running some of the most unique properties in the United States. Formerly the Chief Financial Officer for The Garrett Hotel Group portfolio, Jon oversaw the renowned Relais and Châteaux properties including The Inn of Five Graces, Lake Placid Lodge, and The Point. Jon additionally opened up the acclaimed The Ivy Hotel Baltimore and Hotel Teatro, Denver.
With his hospitality prowess and abundance of experience particularly with boutique and independent properties, Jon holds a remarkable wealth of knowledge, passion and expertise. Jon believes in hard work and being kind. He leads by example with integrity and patience. He strives to be the best he can be and enjoys an inclusive community empowering others to do the same.
Jon was born in Oslo Norway and came to the United States to play collegiate soccer in New Hampshire. Jon is married to his college sweetheart and they have four boys. When not at the hotel or enjoying what The Historic Pearl District offers, he enjoys reading, music, soccer and being outdoors. Jon is an avid soccer fan and Liverpool Football Club supporter.

Preston Woolfolk, Co-President, DOCUmation Preston Woolfolk is the Co-President of DOCUmation and focuses on the operations of the business. He is at the intersection of finance, human resources, information technology, and relationship management. Preston joined DOCUmation after earning his Political Science degree from Abilene Christian University in 2010. He started as a Business Analyst, worked his way up to Managed IT, and later took on the role of Co-President alongside his brother, Hunter Woolfolk, in 2017. He has learned many lessons from both the employees and the customers since joining, and it inspires him to come to work with his best foot forward. He is motivated by the employees’ shared dedication to providing quality service and excellence and he passionately encourages employee growth and success.
