ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

 

 

Leena Patidar, Co-Founder, Coin Up and Managing Director, CFO Services, Ascent Private Capital Management

Leena started her career in banking and finance consulting before becoming a CFO entrepreneur.  Her extensive entrepreneurial and consulting background has led to a unique blend of strategic, innovative, and financial expertise. Leena has spent her career developing leading edge strategies and pioneering new concepts into viable business ventures.  She’s leveraged her experience conducting in-depth financial analysis for Fortune 500 and privately held businesses while at Citibank, Ernst & Young, Battery Ventures, Raytheon and more.  That experience assisted her in co-founding and leading several successful enterprises including “Coin Up,” a breakthrough mobile donation app to revolutionize fundraising through everyday transactions. Coin Up allows everyone to virtually round up and donate their everyday credit/debit card purchases to a charity of their choice! Coin Up is "spare change in a jar" for the digital, cashless economy.

Currently, Leena acts as Managing Director of CFO Services at Ascent Private Capital Management where she couples individual financial advice, and traditional wealth planning offerings with cutting-edge wealth impact planning and communication tools.

Leena is a MBA graduate of MIT Sloan School of Management, and earned her BBA, Public Accounting from Loyola University Chicago.  She also serves as Board Member/ Advisor to various nonprofits, small businesses, and women owned businesses nationally.


Scott Kennedy, Principal Engineer, Security Operations, Cloud Security Team, Intuit

Scott is a member, OpenInferno Hacker CTF Game toolkit team with Certifications: CISSP-ISSAP, CISA, GCIH, GIAC.  He has 25 years experience as a Unix system administrator, including 15 years of dedicated security experience within commercial enterprises. Scott is an SME expert in fields including, cloud security, virtualization, IT security, document retention, disaster recovery, IA­, CNA/CND, and forensics. As part of the Intuit Cyber Security Team, Scott is responsible for bringing scientific rigor and analysis to the decisions for IT Security. He is an active member of the Southern California IT Security scene.

Scott earned an MS degree in Cyber Security/Information Assurance, and a BS in Computer Science from Pace University.

 

Arturo Perez-Reyes, Senior Vice President, Cyber and Technology Practice, Hub International

Arturo works as an insurance broker, risk consultant, and leader of the Cyber and Technology Practice at Hub International.He has worked for nearly 20 years for companies such as Hub, Marsh, and Marsh & McLennan helping companies identify, quantify, and insure risks from technology, services, value chains, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, information security, and privacy.

 

For Hub, Arturo developed the first privacy policies and produced hybrid products that provide insurance and information-security servicesHe is expert in manuscripting placements to adjust for exposures, gaps, and overlaps.  He focuses on enterprise-risk consulting and issue specific engagements for mid-cap to Fortune 50 companies such as Kaiser Permanente, PayPal, Washington Mutual, Intel, IGT, LA-Z Boy, Golden State Foods, Quizno’s, Smith Micro, Disney, Gameshow Networks and many more.

 

Arturo is a member of the professional faculty at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. He teaches e-commerce, insurance, sales, green business, and communication.He has also taught at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago and held academic-leadership roles and led taskforces on e-commerce, cloud storage, and network-security.

 

 

Benjamin Tweel, Cyber Security Officer, Cyber Client Engagement, Global Information Security (GIS), Bank of America

Ben Tweel is a Cyber Security Officer in Bank of America’s Global Information Security (GIS) team and is currently driving customer cyber security education and awareness.

 

Ben’s past global responsibilities have included roles in incident response, vulnerability testing and remediation, platform security design and review, and vendor contract security reviews to support business goals, while championing strong cyber security principles and practices.

 

Ben joined Bank of America in 2011 where he provided tools and process improvements across multiple information security teams. His work with Enterprise Data Management has impacted security in Bank of America, Business Banking, Merrill Lynch and US Trust by ensuring client data protection is consistent across the enterprise. He is currently a Senior Leader for Global Technology and Operations for GIS in the Chicago market.

 

Benjamin Tweel has been in the technology industry for over 25 years. Throughout his career he has taken on multiple roles, from in-house sales to technical sales, software entrepreneur to Chief Information Officer.

 

Ben is passionate about Diversity and Inclusion and has partnered with leaders in the Chicago market working with such groups as YearUp, Women in Technology and Girls Who Code.
