  PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This program is designed to provide CFOs with a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential impact on finance and business. Paul Barnhurst, Founder, The FP&A Guy

Paul Barnhurst (a.k.a. "The FP&A Guy") is a finance professional who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management, MBA in Finance and a Master of Science Degree in Information Management. Paul has earned his FP&A Certification from AFP and his Advanced Financial Modeler Certification from FMI.   He has 12+ years of professional experience across several industries, with a strong background in financial planning, financial modeling, report building and business partnering. He has worked for such global companies as American Express, Digicert, and Solera in various finance and FP&A roles.

Paul is known for his deep understanding of  FP&A and the FP&A software planning space and recently published the second version of the FP&A software market guide. Paul has met with more than 100 FP&A software companies and is regularly demoing and researching the latest tools and sharing his knowledge on social media.

In addition to being a big fan of FP&A software, he is also a big advocate of Microsoft Excel and a Microsoft MPV, regularly teaching people around the world how to better use Excel on a daily basis. Today, Paul runs his own business, The FP&A Guy, providing training (data visualization, Excel, data storytelling, Best-practice FP&A) and FP&A consulting services. Paul is also a co-founder of the popular Planning and Analytics community The FP&A Hub. Paul also hosts three of the most popular finance podcasts “FP&A Tomorrow”, “Future Finance” and “Financial Modeler’s Corner”.

 

Allan Koch, CFO, Hallstar

Allan Koch is a seasoned finance and accounting executive with extensive international experience spanning the telecommunications and chemical industries. As CFO of Hallstar, Allan leads the global finance and accounting function, overseeing $250M in annual revenues. Known for his hands-on leadership, Allan excels at driving efficiencies, streamlining operations, and managing complex M&A activities. His career includes senior roles at CommScope, where he directed accounting, internal audits, and financial controls across North America, Mexico, India, and global markets.

Allan holds an MBA in Finance, Strategy, and Management from the Kellogg School of Management and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Chuck Redpath, CIO Hallstar

Chuck Redpath has been with Hallstar for nearly 30 years and is their Chief Information Officer. He has worked with various business functions within Hallstar to implement IT solutions aimed at enhancing operational performance and increasing efficiency across the organization. His leadership includes managing multiple ERP implementations, such as a global rollout of SAP S/4 HANA in the U.S., Italy, and China. Additionally, Chuck led the implementation of Hallstar’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at their primary U.S. manufacturing facility, transitioning from paper-based processes to data-driven operations.

Chuck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, with a concentration in Leadership and Change Management.
