Parking: Transit options include bus and light rail, as well as the 16th Street MallRide and the MetroRide along 18th and 19th Streets. The entrance to the building’s parking garage, which is a pay to park garage, is on the east side of Wazee Street and guests are welcome to park in any visitor or non-reserved space.

Program Description

Join the conversation as industry experts discuss how they dealt with the most recent changes in financial reporting as related to revenue recognition. They will discuss the latest technology focused on ASC 606 and offer a real-world perspective on how leading companies have applied the new rules and regulations. In addition, Our experts will also discuss the new lease accounting standards required changes that may impact the future of your organization’s balance sheet. Now is the time to begin assessing current processes and existing leases to verify they can address every portion of the standard.

Bob Malinowski, Senior Director, Technical Accounting and Consulting at RSM

As a Senior Director in RSM’s Technical Accounting Consulting practice Bob helps clients understand the accounting and financial reporting consequences of complex financial structures employed in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financing transactions.  Bob is recognized as a subject matter specialist with regards to lease accounting issues and transactions.  Throughout his career, Bob has assisted hundreds of companies with complex lease accounting matters under ASC 840, ASC 842 and IFRS.  He speaks frequently on the topic to industry groups, clients, and at internal RSM events.

Prior to joining RSM, Bob was an Executive Director with the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services group at Ernst & Young. 

Ying McEwen, CPA, Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Consulting at RSM

Ying is a Senior Manager in the Technical Accounting Consulting (TAC) practice based in Chicago, IL and is specialized in the new revenue recognition accounting standards under both US GAAP (ASC 606) and IFRS (IFRS 15). In the past two years, Ying has led revenue recognition related projects for both public and private companies from a wide variety of industries including software and technology, manufacturing, business services and financial services.

Prior to joining RSM, Ying spent 7 years at CNH Industrial, one of the world’s largest capital goods companies, designing, producing and selling agriculture and construction equipment and commercial vehicles. Ying was responsible for overseeing financial reporting, SEC filings and technical accounting analysis. Ying managed complex reporting and technical accounting projects, including the IFRS to U.S. GAAP accounting conversion and implementation of new revenue recognition, leasing and credit impairment standards.
