Servaes Tholen, CFO & COO, Thumbtack

Servaes Tholen was the CFO & COO of Thumbtack from 2015-2019. Servaes was responsible for Finance, People, Legal, Customer Operations, and Trust and Safety, with a team of over 300 in three locations. Thumbtack is an online services marketplace that connects customers with the right skilled professional for whatever they need done. If you need your house painted, your windows cleaned, your garden landscaped, a bartender or chef for a party, Thumbtack has a simple & effective way to find the right pro to help you out.

Prior to Thumbtack, Servaes was CFO of Elance and Upwork, responsible for Finance, HR, Analytics and Data Science; before, he had various finance roles at eBay, including CFO of the North America business unit.

 
Susan Hollingshead, Chief People Officer, Vendini
Susan is the Chief People Officer at Vendini where she manages human resources including compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, organizational development, corporate training, safety and security and payroll. Previously she held a similar role at Sungevity where she helped build the company from 52 to more than 1100 employees. Susan is passionate about cultivating mission driven cultures that empower employees and support successful company development and outstanding customer service. 
 
She has successfully founded two of her own companies and held a variety of C level positions over the course of the last twenty years. Vendini makes the business of live events simple with an all-in-one event management platform. Our solutions help organizations easily market and ticket events, track and increase donations, tap into customer insights and sell more tickets.

  

Moderator: Matt Svetich, CEO, Effectus Group Staffing

Matt Svetich is the CEO of Effectus Group Staffing (EG Staffing), a well-established firm specialized in providing accounting and finance professionals on a temporary and direct hire basis to high-growth companies. Matt is responsible for corporate business development and strategic alliances. Matt has a strong background in entrepreneurship coupled with the foundation of Big 4 accounting experience that has led him to many successes throughout his 20-year career. Matt has held various roles including as director leading the San Francisco office at Effectus Group specializing in technical accounting, IPO, M&A Financial Due Diligence and FinOps services. 

Matt was also an audit senior manager at KPMG in the Silicon Valley and Boston offices for 10 years. Matt has extensive work experience with pre-IPO and public companies in multiple sectors, including Hardware, Software, eCommerce, and Energy. Matt is a Certified Public Accountant in California and holds a master's degree in accounting and a dual bachelor degree in economics and business administration. Matt is a member of the steering committee for the CFO Leadership Council in Silicon Valley, Boston, and Los Angeles.

Registration

CFO Leadership Council members may attend this program for free. Non-member senior financial executives who are CFOs, Vice Presidents of Finance, Directors of Finance and Controllers (or the like) are welcome to attend this program at a one-time cost of $75.

Please note that service providers or any executives who are not senior financial executives (CFOs, Vice Presidents of Finance, Controllers, Directors of Finance, etc.) will not be admitted attendance to this event. The CFO Leadership Council reserves the right to decline any registration.
